Mission
Central Illinois Association of Health Underwriters was chartered by the National Association of Health Underwriters, incorporated as a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of Illinois and formally adopted its by laws on April 11, 1996. The purposes and objectives of CIAHU are:

To promote the common business interests of those engaged in the advancement of public knowledge of all segments of the health insurance industry.

To promote the adoption and application of high standards of ethical conduct in the health insurance industry.

To provide and promote a program of continuing education and self-improvement of CIAHU members.

To coordinate with local, state and national Health Underwriters Associations of the United States and to be a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters federation.

To increase the knowledge of members concerning the principals, functions and applications of the health insurance industry.

To promote education, legislation, regulation and practices which are in the best interest of the health insurance industry and the insuring public.

To do such other things and to carry out such other programs so as to further the purposes of the Association.
